August 2017 TO: 2017-18 RI Directors 2017-18 Foundation Trustees 2017-18 District Governors CC: 2017-18 Rotary Coordinators 2017-18 Rotary Regional Foundation Coordinators 2017-18 Rotary Public Image Coordinators 2017-18 District Rotary Foundation Chairs 2017-18 District International Service Chairs and Workshop Participants Dear Rotary Leaders: Last month 16 District International Service Chair Champions from six continents participated in a workshop at RI Headquarters. District International Service Chairs are responsible for creating and maintaining regional networks of Rotarians and other experts who can assist clubs with developing effective projects with greater impact. The workshop was a great success, with participants sharing best practices for developing and managing their networks of experts. They also developed action plans to begin training others in their regions to develop their own networks. Please consider inviting one of the 16 DISC Champions to share information at upcoming district and zone meetings. They can present information about identifying and leveraging regional resources with expertise in project management and Rotary’s six areas of focus. Through the Carl P. Miller Grant Endowment fund, a stipend is available to cover their travel costs. We encourage regional and district leaders to work collaboratively, as a strong working relationship is essential among regional and district leaders, particularly the Foundation and service-oriented committees and subcommittees. Refer to the 2017-18 international service chairs directory to find your district’s appointee. 今天很難得接獲RI社長與扶輪基金會保管主委兩位最高扶輪業務領導人的聯名通知，針對強化扶輪服務計畫的主題(President and Trustee Chair Message regarding Project Enhancement)，推薦全世界扶輪地區有16位優秀的地區國際服務主委頂尖楷模(Champions)，他們在RI總部舉辦研討會成果十分卓著，且他們的經驗可以協助扶輪地區與扶輪社大大提升服務計畫的效能，建議在地帶或地區的訓練或研討會都可以邀請安排他們與會指導，特定的Carl P. Miller Grant Endowment fund捐贈基金會支援他們到各扶輪地帶/區的差旅費用。
這16位傑出的地區國際服務主委裡，台灣3522地區國際服務主委(台北市東昇社 林茂立)PP MORRIS也名列其中，這是台灣的另一個扶輪之光，我們恭喜他，也期待台灣12個扶輪地區都能夠就近積極邀請我們這位傑出的扶輪先進來為大家指導如何規劃有效能的服務計畫。
